For me, a native japanese guy, learning chinese characters is just a piece of cake (except for their pronunciations), and the same could be said of chinese people who learn japanese. simplified chinese characters are slightly different from japanese kanji, but this is not a serious problem when learning.. I find learning japanese very difficult compared to chinese as a native chinese speaker. i have to elarn 3 different writing systems…yes one is kanji…but teh strokes can be different and pronounciations can be different for the chinese characters i already know.. Chinese grammar is generally considered a lot easier to learn than japanese. chinese is an isolating language, even more so than english, with no verb conjugations, noun cases or grammatical gender..

Japanese women vs. chinese women: a little mean, but makes some good points! 1. japanese women often teach their children to bravely fight the forces of evil, and even if they lose, it is still infinitely glorious, the highest honor.. This actually extends further than chinese and japanese. korean also uses chinese characters, calling them hanja (한자), and the pronunciations are somewhat different again (although closer to chinese than japanese, as far as i know)..
